Sorry I'm late to the conversation. I'm a Sony user myself, but my son got a TCL Roku TV and it has all the apps pre-installed and has a fantastic picture too.
You might want to look into them if you haven't already purchased one yet.

Built in Roku would be cool. A co-worker has a Roku and it can find shows for free that you wouldn't otherwise know about.

I didn't need an OLED, as the viewing angle is always fairly direct.

You're likely to need a sound bar.

Oh, I got the Sonos sound bar to go with my other one in the den. I’m pretty sold on Sonos products. Almost every room in our house has a speaker in it. The Sony is an android tv? Whatever that is.

I shop at Costco TV's.............it's a price point. There will always be a $500, 1000, 1500 tv out there. you get what you pay for.

My suggestion:

Go on CNET and look at their reviews.

I think mine is Android, but I'd look for built in Roku if possible. It's a pain to be searching for the pricing on available sources for stuff. I've got a Sonos in my bedroom and it's awesome. I bet you can hook up the soundbar to play Spotify, which would be nice. A friend of mine is an owner of a home theater place in SF (Audio Symphony) and he has recommended both to me in the past few years.

They aren’t heavy - the 83 in the family room was 80#. The 65 downstairs was about 40.

Oh I’ve watched multiple videos on cnet and others. I’m so tired of researching online. I just decided to go to Costco and see what looks best. Problem is I’m colorblind as a mofo so I went with what looked the most bright and crisp. I guess I’ll have to sweet talk my wife into going with me so we can get a good opinion of the colors.

Agree on this.

My Sonos sound bar plays Spotify more than it does tv sound. It really adds to the room.

Use a stud finder and use some serious lag bolts to attach the mount to the wall and you should be okay.

A TV of that size should be more secure than sitting on a low table of some sort, even though most come with safety straps.

Wherever you put it, don't mount it above the fireplace or anywhere up high. It's unnatural.

Make sure the horizontal center line of the screen is eye level when you are seated. You will thank me. Neck strain will eventually ensue if you mount it higher.

How about 200" for less than $300? BTW, the picture is much more clear than the picture I took makes it appear. Yes that's a basketball rim just above the screen. It's a Yaber native 1080p projector and a cheap canvas screen.

I don't recall what size my TV is in the "owners booth" but I think it's 75". It's a Hisense Roku TV I bought two years ago when Wallyworld had TV's on sale. I walked in the store, stood back a ways from all the TV's that were on, saw how much more clear one was than the others, checked the settings on it, and bought it. It was just that much better picture than many of the more expensive TV's they offered. And I think it cost me less than $500 at the time.

Edit:
One thing you want to make sure of is, if you watch sports or movies with a lot of action you want something with a high refresh rate. The Samsung 56" I have in the house has a lower refresh rate than my projector or the Hisense. When a QB throws the ball down field, the ball kind of flickers on screen rather than you being able to watch the ball in the air.

I bought a 70" Samsung from Costco a few months back.
Very satisfied with the picture, features and price.

My daughter has a 75" 4K in her bedroom, almost like having your bed front row in a theater.
I think it's a Samsung, she got it at costco with the extended 5 year warranty, all in $1200 Canadian.

Our living room we have a built in so it sit flush in the wall over the fireplace, the TV mount is hinged (my design) and opens up to a large storage space (old closet) behind it. I built it back in the early 2000's so the biggest TV I can fit in is a 49" Sony. Higher end model, nice but the remote is kind of cheap. If I had the foresight I would have made the opening bigger.
We had an LG before the Sony, what a POS.

65 inch Vizio Smart tv. Had it 4 years. Haven't had time yet to hook up the basketball rim.
The bright spot is the camera flash. (found Rockets quarter!)
