All over the place locally. 4.19 in Lima. Last I looked it was still 3.73 in Van Wert. Didn't stop me from pulling away from a Bro Dozer I passed that wanted to see if he could hang. Poor thing never stood a chance.

I paid $3.99 9/10ths today. Since acquiring the Prius, that averages 43/44 mpg, it hasn't been much of a thought.

The roads are packed, people hauling A, and it seems to me that it will be an afterthought until the CC bill comes. We have pretty much parked her MDX (19mpg max).

Which is exactly why I shave my head, to keep the fuel for the fire to a minimum.

I am just surprised how expensive diesel is. How can it be so much more expensive than gasoline? It makes me happy I don't have a diesel.

Both my trucks are diesel, it's killing me...

My work truck ( my Ram unfortunately I have to use it. But dont, whe I can avoid it.

My Super Duty has been spending a lot of time keeping my driveway company...

Diesel doesn't make any sense to me. It's a lesser refined product if I'm not mistaken.

It doesn't make any sense because the vast amount of "inflation" is purely profiteering, because capitalism, shareholders and C-suite compensation packages.

It is supply and demand. They don't just burn diesel in passenger vehicles.

Actually, most of the inflation is due to the money supply getting doubled in the last year or two

More like quadrupled. That said, it's only one part of the problem. M1 has been on an upwards trajectory since '08 with negligible impacts to inflation. The current situation is more COVID related demand surges coupled with a global lack of supply, IMO. It's much less monetary driven than you think. Again, just my opinion.

But diesel has been higher priced than gas for quite a while. It used to be that diesel cost less than regular gas until I bought my F350 with a 7.3 then someone said "we finally got him!" and raised the prices. If I'm not mistaken, they get more diesel from a barrel of oil than they do gasoline and diesel takes less to make than gasoline.

Ive owned diesels for a long time. The price of diesel went up when they switched to the "Ultra Low Sulphur " crap. Before that it was always cheaper than regular.
