July 17th...is...
National Ice Cream day!
So, what's your favorite? Hell of a thing, but it's off my diabetic diet. So please have a bit extra for those of us who can't participate.

It used to be (real) vanilla ice cream. One of the expensive brands, lots of cream in it.
That was my past life. I haven't had any deserts, sweets etc for a year now

Easy answer for me. You can eat a bowl of this and not feel like you have a brick in your stomach....and it's delicious.

It's a tough call between Mint Chocolate Chip and Cookie Dough.

This is one of my fav's lately, along with their chocolate.
Put some mixed nuts on it and have yourself a sundae.

I miss two flavors of ice cream I haven't had in decades. The first is Butter Brickle. I had that as a kid & loved it, but haven't found it for over 60 years. The next is chocolate ice cream I used to make in the '80s. I gave it up after I found out my cholesterol was high in my early thirties. It was a custard recipe with cups of sugar, quarts of half & half, almost a dozen egg yolks, & melted baker's chocolate. It was yummy!

My childhood favorites were Thrifty's bing cherry and coconut pineapple flavors. But they're all good. I think there have only been maybe 2 flavors I've tried in my entire lifetime that I haven't liked.

Tillamook - Malted Moo Shake-
That malted vanilla taste I loved as a kid, plus solid hunks of chocolate. What's not to love about that? |

I remember as a kid I really digged Baskin Robbins Daquri Ice, and the rare Grape ice cream. Good stuff. Pineapple sherbert hits a home run, and Minty choco chip is not bad either.

had some peach from our local small town shop. i swap between that and the raspberry.
favorite ice cream flavor is pistachio. not the green stuff. all that said i'd never eat it again if we could have real gellato here.
