you can go diagnol in the vertical as well. and gain another 10 inches.
Just fab up a bit of support

Thanks and any suggestions on where to go to get something like this shrink wrapped?

Also guessing that the two together would be at least 75 pounds, and not sure if thats too heavy or not.

Find a local solar company. They have Solar Panel pallets that are 1m x 1.6m or 1m x 2m

Don't wrap together Joe, you'll be hit with an irregular size fee. That and there's a chance the shrinkwrap will come apart and then you are screwed. UPS and FedEx both hire one ******* per hub to look for stuff and then **** with it.

Just ship both as separate boxes via shippo.com. Just make sure the contents are well packed (you want packing pushing "out" on the walls of the box squishing other peoples' poorly packed stuff) and taped very well. Tape is cheap. Contents and hassle are expensive.

You can buy a roll of shrink wrap pretty cheap. I don't recall where I bought the roll I have. 75 lbs isn't the problem with UPS or FedEx, it'll be the package dimensions.

LTL shipping is having problems with volume and delivery times. We ship products for residential delivery and have to hand hold each shipment - missed pick-ups, delays at cross dock terminals, delays at the delivery end. It has been hit or miss. Rates are pretty high right now as well, if you can ship individually with UPS using a service as mentioned above it may be less time, headaches, and $ for a cross-country freight move.

Liftgate service will easily add $100-150 on each side. Instead, either get it on a dock or have 3 guys help you manually lift it into the truck. The moment they have to touch the liftgate controls, you owe them money. They don't care how it gets on and off the truck (forklift, dock, 4 guys dragging it off by hand), they just care if the liftgate has to be powered.

I have not had good luck with ratchet straps, they tend to stretch and loosen.

We used to have have to ship our RC-30 Wild aerial camera system and film backs off to be cleaned, lubed, then onto the USGS to be calibrated. They weight in at 450 pounds. Yea, a big camera. We had the custom shipping cases that they came in when new, so we put them on a nice new pallet, and used the strapping gun to pull them down tight. We also had ratchet straps. The cases also had a Shock meter sticker. Mythbusters used those a lot, and it would show if the pallet were subjected to a high G load, like getting dropped. We usually ended up using FedEx Freight. There was just one guy in North America that was factory authorized to clean and lube the system and he was in Canada. Shipping insurance was something we had to get on the system with the Inland marine policy. We paid $490,000 for the camera system, and it always made the trips to Canada and Colorado then back to us with no issues. It was only $20,000 to get it cleaned and calibrated.

Bottom line, only FedEx freight could handle it and make us feel like we had a chance of getting it all back in perfect condition. We called several other freight companies, and they all had issues.

We've had lots of bad experiences with XPO. Don't be tempted by their low prices.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. The buyer ended up having some maintenance done in Colorado and after it was done, flew the Learjet here to Phoenix, loaded up the goodies and headed back to Syracuse!! Saved me having to ship the stuff!

Craters and freighters: https://www.cratersandfreighters.com/

I've shipped and received with them to good effect. Nationwide. They send a truck over to pick up your stuff and bring it to their shop to package and palletize.
