I had 50% of my prostrate ground out 10 years ago. Why? I was peeing all the time and only a couple of OZ's. What a pain in the ass during the night.. Now... once a night and that is because I hydrate. Forget the gimmicks and just have the doctor go in and tear out half the stuff you don't need anymore. Get some sleep.

I only get up at night once to pee. I'm not going to the Dr to have him tear out half my stuff I don't need....he might take out the wrong stuff.

I've got a minor addiction to drinking Aloe Vera drink and a few evenings ago I drank two litres (quarts) of it not long before bedtime. I thought I'd be up all night peeing but I wasn't. Same as usual, every two hours, but bigger volumes. Which suggests it's just habit and I really don't need to get up so often.

I just don't drink much water in the evening.

Lot of water during the day, not much after 18:00, don't like eating too late either

I'm up 3x per night...sometimes 4, and on 4mg tamsulosin. Have gotten used to it...doesn't really bother me. Certainly not enough to have part of my anatomy ripped out through my urethra!

I’ve ALWAYS had an active set of kidneys, I guess, because I’ve always had to get up about 2-3 times per night to pee. Since as long as I can remember. And it’s always at least a normal amount, or a lot if I drink a ton of liquids or eat something that’s a known diuretic. Hell, in that case, I may be up 4-5 times, which gets annoying.
I always fall asleep immediately afterwards, so I don’t really mind being woken up by it. Besides, these days, at age 60, my hips getting sore is always what wakes me the most anyway.

I don't piss during the night like I used too... in college, the bands didn't start playing until 11 pm ... keg parties started after the bars closed at 2 am.

Same here. I used to drink massive quantities of beer. It was all pretty low alcohol back in those days. Then fall asleep and the next thing I knew it was 10:00 in the morning.
