Thoughts on swapping these tires inside for outs.
In order to get another weekend out of my tires, do you think I can swap them inside for outs?
It may not be optimal, but at $800 a set of four plus mounting, it’ll stretch these out one more time or two. I’ve already rotated them, putting my best tires on the left side for the last event. Edit. Since these are discontinued, I will have to find something else. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/kumho-ecsta-v720 ![]() ![]()

I have the Kumho Ecsta SPT's on both of my 911's
I hate to think they are being discontinued. They are great tires for a reasonable price.

Hmmm,
I suspect you either drive at 9/10 all the time or you have an alignment issue. Get the alignment check and... If you can, dial in a bit more negative camber.

Timed event or DE?
DE? Flip them. Watch for the edge chunking, especially if it's hot and sunny. Actually if it''s really hot and the track is greasy, I'd leave them the way they are. Retire them when the cords start showing. |

What I don’t want, is to drive to the track, drive that weekend, with the potential for cording them, cutting my weekend short. I have not seen or read anything about them being directional, so I think I’ll be OK. Edit: a couple weekends ago, I got my fastest lap times with them. Third DE with them.
