I bought Zuma shortly after it came out, but I have a whole new appreciation for Cortez the Killer now. There's only 3 chords in it, but on a detuned guitar they are magic. Came across this incredible cover by The Dave Matthews Band with guest guitarist Warren Haynes in 2003.

I got an email from Neil Young's Archive on his new concert tour. It's $600-700 for the best seats at face value, then down to $120 for some decent stuff, so I grabbed a $120 for Napa in July. He's 77, so what the hell. There's a show at stateline in Nevada with reasonable pricing, but for me it's too much driving and I'd have to get a room for the night.
NEIL YOUNG COASTAL TOUR Friday, June 30 – Los Angeles, CA – The Ford Saturday, July 1 – Los Angeles, CA – The Ford Monday, July 3 – Los Angeles, CA – The Ford Wednesday, July 5 – Los Angeles, CA – The Ford Friday, July 7 – Santa Barbara, CA – Santa Barbara Bowl Saturday, July 8 – Paso Robles, CA – Vina Robles Amphitheatre Monday, July 10 – Los Angeles, CA – The Greek Theatre Tuesday, July 11 – San Diego, CA – The Shell Thursday, July 13 – Los Angeles, CA – The Greek Theatre Saturday, July 15 – Berkeley, CA – The Greek Monday, July 17 – Bend, OR – Hayden Homes Amphitheater Tuesday, July 18 – Ridgefield, WA – RV Inn Style Resorts Amphitheater Thursday, July 20 – Auburn, WA – White River Amphitheatre Sunday, July 23 – Napa, CA – Oxbow RiverStage Monday, July 24 - Lake Tahoe, NV — Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys I got tickets to see Graham Nash at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley for July 11th. That's a great venue and Graham hasn't lost a step (I saw him there last year). He's 81 now.

Bend Oregon and Ridgefield Washington. Might be worth trying to find a cheap ticket and make a drive to either arena. Might be one of the last times.

I've been a Neil Young fan all my life. I went 2 nights in a row to the Rust Never Sleeps tour. I was excited to hear he is playing here in Auburn Wa. Damn, tickets are 120 to 4200 bucks. Decent seats are 500 to 800. It makes me sad how expensive going to a concert is. I remember waiting in line at a Sears Ticketmaster window in 1976 and buying Led Zepplin tickets for $8.50. They were good seats too.

That pic posted of Neil Young with Bob Mosley in the Ducks is way cool.
I guess N. Young had roots in the Santa Cruz area. One time I was just passing though Santa Cruz in the late 70's and some small place called the Catalist had Neil Young on the bill.
