87 was $2.94 and 93 was $4.64 at Sams today. Of course my car and truck both need premium.

stevej37 09-28-2022 12:11 PM

Up to $4.14 for reg here today

Evans, Marv 09-28-2022 04:04 PM

Ours went up fourteen cents to above $6.00 yesterday.

Dan J 09-29-2022 12:31 AM

2.99 and dropping here Diesel is still almost 5

KFC911 09-29-2022 03:44 AM

Still at 3.07 here... not even having the typical "hurricane spike".

Serious question here... Do they really need 93 octane if you drive conservatively and have no extreme accelerations?

My truck needs 91. I tried 87 one time and it pinged real bad. I tried 1/2 93 and 1/2 87 and it was ok but Sams does not sell 91. My C6 requires 92 stock and it will compensate but I put a 93 octane tune in it. I have a 91 octane tune I can load into it and may do so now that racing season is over. I may create an 87 octane tune for it. It is aggravating that 93 is so much more than 87.

Gee, our price for gas went up sixteen cents over night to $6.20/gal. Everybody in this area will be so glad when it quits going down.

It's not just you, on our staff meeting this morning people were saying it's going up pretty much everywhere.

Back to well over $5 in Oregon...the little Ka-boom? Or maybe Biden ran out of strategic reserves to cut loose? I dunno..

craigster59 09-29-2022 02:58 PM

Gas here is $5.95 for regular at "cheapo creepo" gas station. Most others are over $6. It's amazing to read the low prices posted around the country while we drive around here in SoCal, see the oil wells pumping, fuel trucks coming from the refineries in Bakersfield, and we're still getting screwed at the pump.

Can't wait to see what's going to happen to lumber prices after Hurricane Ian is done.

They have just offered up 10 million barrels of sweet crude for Nov delivery. That will make a total of 165 million of the 180 million that was initially planned.

That will still leave about 400 million barrels in the reserve.

Evans, Marv 09-29-2022 05:00 PM

Local news showed some stations in the area with prices at $7.00+.

Yep. Shrinking fast. Lowest level in decades.

Don't be surprised if OPEC+ Announces another quota cut next week.

https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/OPEC-Output-Cut-Looks-Increasingly-Likely-As-Producers-Narrow-Down-Options.html

The producers of the OPEC+ alliance that are already discussing a possible cut next week have reportedly agreed to a range of 500,000 bpd to 1 million bpd.
A source within OPEC claims it is “likely” that the group will agree upon a cut of some source, with Russia reportedly pushing for a 1 million bpd cut.
While the cut itself would have a limited impact on the fundamentals of oil markets due to OPEC+ underproduction, it would signal the group's intent to push prices higher.

https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/opec-falls-short-oil-output-target-by-3583-mln-bpd-august-document-2022-09-19/
LONDON, Sept 19 (Reuters) - OPEC+ fell short of its oil production target by 3.583 million barrels per day (bpd) in August, an internal document showed, having missed target by 2.892 million bpd in July.

fanaudical 10-01-2022 02:26 PM

$5.79/gal for regular at the local Chevron here in Sherwood today. That's up ~$1/gal since I bought gas two weeks ago. What happened?

Fast Freddy 944 10-02-2022 04:46 AM

This is all a bs game here in the states. Prices will go up until the Republicans get to work in office fixing everything this bad guy has screwed up.

nota 10-02-2022 05:38 AM

JackDidley 10-02-2022 09:42 AM

Sams today 87 was $3.25 and 93 was $3.64 .

lindbhr 10-02-2022 10:26 AM

Costco reg. $2.72, prem. $3.26

Evans, Marv 10-02-2022 01:47 PM

New record high in S.D. County yesterday.

Sooner or later 10-02-2022 01:54 PM

Everything else in the state is priced in the stratosphere so why would you expect reasonable fuel prices?

Evans, Marv 10-02-2022 01:58 PM

If you're asking me, I don't expect reasonable prices on anyuthing in this state. The best you can do is try to insulate yourself from having to spend, which is what I've tried to do for a number of years.

azbanks 10-02-2022 01:59 PM

Gas is up over $.50 in Phoenix over the last week.

gregpark 10-03-2022 06:15 AM

Napa, CA Chevron regular $6.80, premium $7.10

Shaun @ Tru6 10-03-2022 06:21 AM

OPEC is cutting production soon to keep prices high so gas will be going back up.

They will probably be cutting the quota. They haven't been able to produce to quota levels in quite some time. In August OPEC+ was short by about 3.5 million barrels a day. So , if they cut by a million they will only be short by 2.5 million.

An actual production cut would be a different animal, though I haven't heard that being discussed.

450knotOffice 10-03-2022 08:04 PM

Regular gas is going for $3.10 at the Mobil gas station near me in Stuart, FL.

I’d heard today that gas has gone up over $0.60/gal in California over the last week, so I checked the prices at the Shell station I used to frequent in Mission Viejo. To my shock, Regular is priced at $6.60 today - more than double the price I pay in FL.

I feel bad for my friends and family that have to deal with that nonsense out there.

cantdrv55 10-03-2022 09:18 PM

The Chevron about 2 miles from me has regular at $6.69. Effin’ Northern CA gas prices suck. We are getting gouged.
