It was Marcus Ericsson who was fastest. He's with Andretti this year in the Delaware Life car and ran a LOT of laps while we were there. Will Power #12 was 2nd. Pato O'Ward in the Arrow McLaren was, indeed, the fastest most of the day. OTOH, it's just testing so the times really don't mean anything.

So it was none other than Colin Braun in the all-white Coyne car. Braun was one of the drivers for Meyer-Shank in the Acura GTP car last year. I'm assuming he has to bring money/sponsors to race for Coyne??

Romain Grosjean's new ride with Juncos. Not sure what the design on the sidepod is supposed to be? I'm guessing no primary sponsor as of now.
edit: oh, it's JHr - Juncos Hollinger Racing.

^^^ the Alan Jay safety truck ... Alan Jay seems to own every car franchise in the Sebring area. This is his house - complete with go-kart track on the lake
It was for sale a while back, 6 go-karts included in purchase price.

Well, it's been a Dallara for a long time, but not the same car. Mid year this year will see a hybrid PU, so that should shake things up a little in that more HP is expected.
I think some of the tracks suck but there are some great tracks too. Nothing is perfect. At least one guy doesn't win 16 races. As I've said before, I'll watch F1 if it's free like Miami, Monaco, Canada, Texas, and Mexico. Otherwise I can watch the recaps on YT and be perfectly happy. I see there are 8 Indy Car races on NBC this year but they've dropped Long Beach. I thought LB was a fan favorite. I quit going on Fridays 10 years ago. I haven't been there on Sunday in 30 years. TV is better, or was. |

Good news! The schedule I looked at didn't have it. But 8 races also seemed more than usual so who knows what I was looking at.
It you're in the area its definitely a party day and night. But wait, isn't USA a cable channel? Last edited by Zeke; 02-28-2024 at 05:40 PM.. |

There is great racing, an important aspect.
The part I like best is the basic American principle of HP & top speed. Been to Fontana many times, driving into turn 1&2 is nursing home story material that will be the last to fade. Kachow

I went to few Indycar and CART races at Fontana. I loved sitting in the grandstands watching the cars snake out of turn 4 onto the front straight.
