I would save that. Big time. Less than $500 to make it right if you do the work yourself.

They build/rent similar out at a premium as a bnb where my vacation house is. Get $200 to $300 a night. Rich city folks seem to have missed the tree house experience and are willing to pay for it. Even ones on the ground that are little more than sheds in the woods go at a pretty high rate per night.

Airbnb has a search category for treehouses:

got all but the lid and rafters cut up and loaded, logs awaiting some saw and splitting work to make firewood. my neighbor is taking the roof structure and basing his new, improved laying hen coop on it.

planted some flowers in the rotted out stumps. didn't even need potting soil, the rotted centers were full of termite leavins.

OK, it's snowing and my bit of the fowl's leg is in the air frier so video forthcoming...

the effort before it came down was not without some excitement... had moved the rig some in 4L using the compression for an anchor i started my winch pull from just outside the driver door... did not realize i had left the ignition in the on position...

i give you "bump start"

It would've been cool if you had set it on fire. At night.

I'm sure there could be 'no burn' ordinances in the area... just sayin' a bonfire up a tree would've been entertaining.

Nicely done, no fatalities! Practically a non-event which is good.

LMAO! Exactly correct. The correct way would have been light it on fire, then break out the chainsaw, and maybe ALSO include some tannerite (fire and tannerite would have created some urgency which leads to excitement).
