Both my parents are dead. I was raised by my dad and stepmom. Can't stand my stepmom. Not good people. I wish I missed either of my parents, but I don't.

I do my best to raise my kids nothing like I was raised.

I envy those who have/had a good relationship with their parents. My wife's got a great relationship with her parents and they are truly great people. I'm glad my kids have that example in their lives.

^^^^With you on that. I married into a ready made family, 7 and 12, girl — boy. I think I was fair but I sometimes put a bit of my own raising into the equation. I could tell pretty soon how that was working for better or worse.
