cool, well if you rip on helios driving skills lately, im just going to point out the fact that hes still winning plenty of races, that are just as tough to win as indycar, in cars that are very similar to indycars. you dont get to gatekeep the facts of a thread? like what a weird response.

Man, Leigh Diffey is just almost unlistenable. Paul Page was bad. Diffey is just as bad.

FWIW, Imsa cars have power steering, which makes a big difference as you age.
Agree on Rossi, put up or shut up time.

Positive news regarding the series' future! Well, up until the part where Michael Andretti lobs a hand grenade into the room
Maybe he wants to buy the series? He seems to have unlimited funds (now talking about a NASCAR team in addition to F1). And note that dirty word - Liberty Media - was brought up too ![]() Indycar Team Owners Meeting With Penske

Qualifying was pretty exciting those walls are wicked close in some sections . Hoping for a clean safe race today . I expect some of the fast drivers that didn't make the fast 6 will be pushing hard to make up places .

The race wasn't that exciting , a very dominant win and finish for team Penske .

At least there weren't any field thinning crashes too.
Is Chevy cheating now or just doing their homework better?

Never bet against Penske's "unfair advantage"...

I was surprised Herta and Palou didn't do better . Top 10 is good but I thought they both would be fighting for the win .

JoNew is on a mission isn’t he?
Ganassi was never in contention. Romain is still Romain.

lol on "cheating" - if they did better than you they must be cheating... Roger has always been a fierce competitor and a hard task-master to those who work for him. He pays the best and demands excellence or else. If you want to have any future with him in Indy you better win the Indy 500 and/or the championship. Preferably both.

P.T.'s chrome horn was legendary. Helio plays the game to win and sometimes get caught. Everyone else does it but because HCN has won so much they watch him closer and the competitors whine when he wins "he must have been cheating". If you wanna whine about cheating then look at 'Crashcar' tactics to push the leader off the road.

Michael Andretti recently suggested that Indycar should open up their engine rules to include current IMSA engine specs . His suggestion implies it would open up the possibilities of additional OEM's to come to Indycar . I have no clue on the logistics or legalities but this sounds like a good idea . Indycar is and has been dancing on the ragged edge of failure if one of the two engine suppliers pulled out of the series . Fortunately that hasn't happened .
To me the possibility of having 3-5 or more engine suppliers would be a good thing . Additional competition is a good thing . It would also give GM/Honda some wiggle room to not have to concentrate on volume and maybe concentrate on better/stronger/more efficient engines . What do you guys think ?

^^^ It makes a lot of sense. The current Acura GTP engine is basically a development of what was supposed to be the new hybrid 2024 Indycar engine. So the size/dimensions are right. You'd have the possibility of GM/Cadillac, Porsche, BMW, Honda/Acura, Lamborghini (rebadge it as an Audi or VW?), and Alpine/Stellantis/Dodge at Indy. How cool would it be to have normally-aspirated V8s, twin-turbo V6s & V8s, and turbo V6s compete at Indy? And the same Chassis manufacturers are involved in both series and know the packaging requirements.
