My sister had a friend in college who biked across Europe one summer. He said he had a sticker on his helmet: Powered by Oreos. He didn't think that joke translated, perhaps due to the lack of Oreos for sale in the regions through which he traveled.

Taken from ancient chinese text:
Oreo matter of process. Like shucking an oyster, process matters. First. Separating components. Usually one side will break loose, leaving a remaining outer side with the inner filling attached. At this point, the detached side becomes the knife- to dislodge the inner filling from the remaining outer shell. Scraping the detached side against the filling and remaining side makes short order of the filling. SCRAPE CAREFULLY!!!!!! The inner succulence is detached. It is free. The inner filling is eaten. Enjoyed. Now, you are left with two outer sides. You are f#$%'d!!!! (but the two outer sides are eaten anyway) Confucius- 551 bce. (that's a true confucius quote btw...) The green mint flavored creme filling ones are the best!

I’d be willing to buy a sampler pack of all of the flavors. But I’m not going to buy an entire bag of any of the odd flavors.
My favorite mint chocolate item is Andes Thin Mints. Nothing else has quite the right ratio and chocolate:mint flavor balance. |

......And therein lies the beauty of almost everything! So many different ways to enjoy things!
AND, after a bit of thought, I guess I'm in the "pull 'em apart and eat the stuffing first" camp.

I didn't realize my former corp made Oreos ... I would have negotiated my salary a bit differently
.Yep ... I "ducked" Oreos looking for all the varieties... Ya can't twist the cookie apart and split the filling either ... regardless of twist rate or technique .... one side gets it all ... the other nada! There has been a "study" .... LOL

I've had them come apart where one side has a small cone shaped (very short and wide) spot of filling and the other side has the mirror image of the cone in the bulk of the filling. I've also (rarely) had the experience where the filling splits diagonally so that it's about 50/50 on each cookie. Granted, I haven't pulled them apart in many years, so they may have "fixed the glitch" so that never happens any more.

I have not bought a package of Oreos in my life that I can remember. I have eaten a few. I don't pull them apart, just pop the entire thing in my mouth. I prefer a chocolate chip cookie over an Oreo any day.

They are not as good as they used to be. Taste of filling has changed

The south wanted to twist the Oreo apart... Lincoln was adamant that the Oreo remain a perfect union

Outrageos supposition: the cookie part is way better than the stuffing. Double stuff, mega stuff, absurdo stuff or whatever is an assault to good taste.
Also oreo particles when held formed into a composite with ice cream used as the matrix is delightful, sometimes this goes by the trade name "Oreo Blizzard".

I don't eat it much, but I do like "cookies and cream" ice cream (vanilla ice cream with oreos or oreo copies in the ice cream). I don't know that I've ever bought it at Dairy queen. The other day we were on a family vacation with the grandkids. We had vanilla ice cream and oreos. I had a bowl of ice cream and put 3-4 oreos on top, then broke them up with the spoon and stirred the combination up so it was more like soft server. Very tasty! (basically an oreo blizzard).

"According to an April 2022 research report published in the journal Physics of Fluids, it was proven impossible to split the cream filling of an Oreo cookie down the middle. The filling always adheres to one side of the wafer, no matter how quickly the cookie is twisted.[31][32]"
Methinks we need Lubey to give his expert opinion on this matter ![]() I went searching for the different varieties .... fell into the Oreo rabbit hole .... |

![]() This is what I got back. (yeah, only 4.5 cookies. They said the rest were "destroyed in testing".)

Double stuffs only. Open the package and let them breath for a few days. They soften up a bit and are fantastic.

I do also enjoy stale oreos, at least if I'm not going to dunk them in milk. If I'm dunking in milk, then I want them fresh.
