Not if you didn't know how to play piano before the shots!

He was really good on the piano, but I heard he sucked on the organ. Ok, I'll see myself out....

And as far as multiple vax, we must have gotten 12 within a week when I was in boot camp in the Army. One made the arm really sore (tetanus?) but no real reaction from others.

Apparently some people have a strong reaction to certain vaccines and others do not. Who knew, besides every informed person in the world?

I got the shingles vaccine. I ended up going to urgent care acuppla hours later begging them to chop my arm off because of the pain.
After I filled out the paperwork, I sat in the waiting area in agony area for at least 30 minutes. Come to find out, they were observing me to see if my arm actually hurt, like I was drug-seeking or whatever. That was the worst pain I’d ever experienced. The AP gave me one pill and a prescription for one more. Pain went away a few hours later with no long-term effects. |

Had my flu shot this am.
After filling out the consent form, I told the Dr. that I wanted the regular shot, not the enhanced one. He said "I don't blame you one bit, most of that age ask for the non also" The arm will be a little sore, as with any shot, but I won't have the day and a half of migraine headaches.

My first time being stationed outside the US I had to get Yellow Fever shot. For about a day and a half afterwards, very very sore arm and felt like the flu. Thanks for reminding me of that.
My other least favorite experience was Anthrax Vax. Had great nurse and didn't even feel it go in my arm. Took two steps and it kicked in like a mule. Was very happy when the Army said no more were necessary. Oh wait one more, as a preventative the Army used to make you take Gama Globulin shot before deployment, one in each cheek. Gearing up for deployment to Somalia, I got mine and then got very light headed but not all the way out. Then I realized some female Colonel was loosening my shirt and belt. She was definitely not Major Houlihan...

Before the original Covid shots, the worst vaccine I had was Typhoid. I think I had to get 2 or 3 shots a week or two apart. I always had fever and chills with those shots.
Covid, the shot gave me 8 hours of high fever and chills. When I got Covid the first time (Jan 22), it felt the same as the Covid shot. Second time with Covid (June 24), not much worse than a bad cold. Apparently I shared it with Mrs. Beard and she was NOT HAPPY. We both went on Paxlovid ASAP. I will probably do both Covid and Flu later this week.

I am a fan of science. medical science as well.
however, the ONLY preventative I will never take is the Malaria prevention pills. I don't think my guts will ever be the same EVER. I was in the amazon rain forest and I never saw a mosquito. in the meantime, my guts were like a spackle machine. never again. ever. injections, I don't think there are any more for me to take.

Got both at once also, flu arm hurt more than covid..
3 weeks later, Wife gets covid from a trip (no recent vax but 3 previous ones, she reacts badly to the shot). We didn't know initially (looked like a cold) so no isolation, negative test. She was moderately sick for about a week - like mild flu, no energy. Of course she gave it to me since we do not have a guest room (fresh Covid vax, my 5th!!!) I was.... moderately sick for about a week ;-) I am definitely not antivax (after 5 covid shots and constant yearly shots from the hospital I work for) but color me unimpressed.. Maybe yeah, I felt it a tad less than her but that's really marginal and generally the case with all diseases, I tend to recover better than her. I'll continue to get flu shots as required by work, but I am 100% done with Covid shots now unless they find an absolute silver bullet for all future variants. DEspite 5 shots, got it 5 times regardless, quite often shortly enough after vaccination that freshness of the vaccine could not be debated, and 3 weeks after this shot it's kind of mocking me... it's definitely not as efficient a shot as, say, the Polio shot - will take my chances next time and see if "i get it worse".. it's starting to sound like marketing now (not an advice in any way, you do you) PS: I did get the shingles one, because it's a one time deal (well 2 shots) and shingles is NO fun at all.
