Alonso's radio message is hilarious, like Kimi reincarnated
Worked with him just on one project, found him insanely focused and straight forward to deal with Great to see he's still got it, still fast enough for F1 and still ruthlessly competitive

That didn’t age well.
![]() Piastri bottled up his start. I wonder if the pressure is getting to him?

Super dull race, but congrats to George and McLaren. Now that constructors is over let’s turn up the heat on drivers!

Makes you wonder if the people who are alleged to have complained about him being "difficult" were, in fact, not up for the challenge of putting in the effort to win, and just projecting to cover for their own inadequacy. Happens in every other business. F1 is not unique.

![]() I have to agree, I am sick of shots of fans waving, and pretty girlfriends of the drivers. Sow the RACE, not the girlfriends. I like looking at pretty ladies, but not in the middle of the race.

Maybe the camera crew realize what a boring show they are putting on and are trying something else . Or not .

US centric post:
Apple TV bought the rights for F1 starting in 2026 for 5 years, that follows on their investment in the F1 movie.. "F1 TV Premium, the racing group’s existing streaming service, will continue to be available in the U.S. via an Apple TV subscription only, but it will be free for those who sign up that way. " I am not 100% sure what the above means to those of us with F1TV currently, convoluted sentence - guess like in other countries where someone buys the rights, you can no longer subscribe directly to F1TV or need a VPN- will they take the F1TV feed lock stock, or what? but it means it will not be on ESPN or wherever it is now for folks on cable (it's not all bad, F1TV feed is much quieter than shouty Crofty)... So Apple TV vs F1TV "included" costs about 2x as much per year overall than just F1Tv, but you do get apple TV also (so 1/2 off kinda) which has some decent shows here and there (silo, slow horses, invasion, ted lasso, etc).. Hmm... We'll bit$# next year I guess.. See what it looks like. Last edited by Deschodt; 10-17-2025 at 08:20 AM.. |

We knew this was coming when it was announced that ESPN was giving it up. They sucked anyway and it was just an afterthought to them. I have Apple, signed up to watch Tehran, which is great BTW. The Apple App is decent but has some quirks that make it a bit harder to navigate than other apps. If it weren't for college football, I would have gotten rid of cable. I burry my head in the sand and ignore the cost of cable plus all of my apps. Although, Spectrum provides access to a lot of apps as part of their package. The social media chatter is all directed towards this move killing viewership and fan base in the US. Ok, maybe but I think what will really kill it will be when they eliminate one of the 3 US races and when Hammy retires. The celeb following that kick started US fanbase is centered around him (unfortunately).

Just got a text from my son. He said he received an email from F1 TV informing him that he would not be able to renew his subscription due to the Apple TV change.

We’re going to can Netflix and get Apple TV. It should be a wash with the F1 subscription.

Apple TV subscription is $12.99/month vs. F1TV Pro at $9.99 so about $36 more per year. It’s also possible to get Apple TV at a discount.

So whose fault was that T1 Sprint Race pileup?
It's a racing incident, but if someone gets a finger pointed at them, it should be Oscar. You can't go for that type of over-under move in a pack like T1 of the first lap and expect there to be space for that sort of thing, even if you're ahead of the next car (Hulk).
