I know a guy locally who has a lemon law lawyer that he swears by, he moved here from California, used him out there and I think he recently used him here when his new Chevy truck was giving him a lot of trouble. I can reach out if you want me too.

Byron, I would appreciate the name of a good lawyer- thanks for the offer.
Not sure yet where this is going.

I let cars sit that long in the airport all the time as we travel.
But hopefully they can get it straightened out.
Thanks again

In 2020, I left my 2010 VW in my parking garage for something like 6 months and when I came back to town, it started on the first crank like I had parked it an hour ago. TBH, I was shocked.

I don’t know anything about the laws in Florida but here we have billboards for lemon law attorneys all over the place and it takes a lot less than what you have gone through to lemon law a vehicle. Good luck with it and definitely find a lawyer. In CA, the law is very specific and they can’t weasel out of it.

Is there a way to see if a car was a lemon law return? Doesn't show on carfax.

I have a sinking suspicion a car I just bought is. 15k miles when I bought it, repeated missfire on #1, dealer has changed coil packs and injectors and it still happens.

I would expect a car bought back under the lemon law to have a branded title. Not necessarily so if the dealer bought it back under "goodwill" and sent it to the auction.

My son bought a MK7 GTI during the pandemic shortage that had a lemon law branded title. First owner apparently lemon lawed it. VW replaced the high pressure fuel pump and injectors, then wholesaled it to another dealer. Second owner didn't drive it much, then traded it in at a land rover dealer, who sent it to auction. We saw it a used car lot at a very attractive price. A friend at a local VW dealer dug out the history for us and confirmed that it was covered under a VW extended warranty.

He's been driving it for years now and it's trouble free.

With 15K miles, is the manufacturer's drivetrain warranty still in effect? It sure sounds like the dealer isn't putting much effort into actually fixing the car....

Not to hijack a thread but the carfax& title show nothing.

Dealer in florida changed injectors before I purchased. Dealer in maryland (as I was driving north) swapped coils.

Spoke to a local dealer today, and was assured it's covered, and they will get to the bottom of it.

Sucks as I really like the vehicle. I could trade it now but I'd lose about $4500.

Just a followup.
Car was at the dealers this time for 10weeks. The "repaired" car was dropped off at the house. I drove it the next day- exact same electrical issues. It is back at the dealer.

Overall car has been at the dealers at least 5 different times with issues, for a total of about 15 weeks. Car has less than 800miles on it, about 150 of that back and forth to the dealer.

Turns out rapid battery discharge is a known issue with the 2024 jeep. They keep upgrading firmware that is supposed to fix it. They have replaced both batteries at least twice now.

Hired an attorney a friend used- out of Miami. Not cheap.
I learned a lot- hope to never need any of this new knowledge again.

A Lemon Law attorney should work on contingency. Jeep should pay him when he wins the case. Your case sounds like a slam dunk and I would expect a LL attorney to gladly take it at no charge to you.

This.

In addition to the lemon law, there the Magnuson Moss Act they can use.

Disclosure: I used to sell stuff to Stellantis, I absolutely detest them, and I laugh every time I see this kind of crap they produce. That background might affect my position here...

Their best offer, without a lawyer representing you, will be a replacement car. Do you really want that? Would you take a new 2025 car? A used low mileage car? I wouldn't.

There's no 'trade-in', they owe you a full refund IMO. Plus some interest. They've had your money for 9 months, but you haven't had what they promised you....
