Keeping them skeeters out is not a technical problem.

The OEM provided pump had better be bullet proof.

Cool tent. Only thing missing was her Marantz stereo system.

Yes it is. A guy had an inflatable party bounce toy business in my shop complex. I helped him work (move, fold, setup to dry out) on that stuff when I was the only one around. He had to work like a dog to get them prepped for the next rental. Heavy material.

On the yellow one there were few tie downs present. Two at each end and they did not show her staking it down (but it was staked in the back half). There may be more tie downs but I see no vents from the below link pictures.

A mere $8,400.

I don't know why that girl even goes camping. All she does is eat.

Seems pretty ideal if you're prepper with an off road trailer set up for bug out. Imagine if the families in the last hurricane had these.
Most rv type trailers aren't durable enough to handle rough conditions.
I'm in my 50's now with a 4th back surgery on the horizon
So backpacking isn't an option anymore. I'm considering building up a camping setup based on a 4wd f150 and a small rough terrain trailer. This could fit into that equation.

That is where my thought process is, plus the spare room for holidays.

There are much cheaper options (I have become Alicehawk headed down this particular rabbit hole) available from other companies but we'll see.

Fun stuff.

Edit: I should have mentioned that I know the local Ducks Unlimited folks and I sent them the link. They have been bugging me to allow DU hunts here with the shooters staying on the farm. This may work...

Hmmm, unless there are facilities nearby, going to need something like this or a port-a-potty. https://www.beckelcanvas.com/camping-gear/p/canvas-outhouse-privacy-tent?srsltid=AfmBOoolIV0zwHhMAIR1qTZLsq1zUQC6yKf0I VPMojp0tuhjVfYS_JHkl7w

call me aging rapidly..but I kinda like it.

setting up a tent kinda sucks now. every time seems like the first time all over again...well, not my one-man which is a rinse repeat kinda thing on backpack trips. I get good with that one.

but if I have learned one thing on this planet. there is literally an ass for every seat. I cant poop on a balloon tent..mainly since I havent tried one. all the complaints are speculation.

some dude with his giant ass Escalade pulls up and sets up the balloon palace? good for him. I dont have the $8k to play with...

So the Ducks Unlimited folks came out yesterday afternoon. I had not discussed allowing folks on the farm with them in over a decade.

Things have changed...I am working through the legal and financial issues today and will discuss with my wife and son when they get here Friday. Still don't know if it will be worth the effort.

Here is a picture of the location they are interested in, taken when they were here. The Duck blind used to be to the left of the tree with the Osprey on top

Closer view

The inflatable tent idea is perfect for what their "clients" want, at least according to the DU guys.

The below is a top down look at the location. The tent(s) would be set up to the right of the white square along the marsh. The edge of the marsh is drive-able.

Sorry for the long post, it is just interesting where this place can lead you at times.

So people spent all that time and money to go live like a homeless person, with nicer place to sleep.

Personally I just don't understand it. I stayed in a hotel in Magdalena, NM. There was no WiFi, and no TV, so I considered that camping. It did have great AC, and a comfortable bed. No refrigerator or microwave, so i had to use my ice chest for my beer.

My brother loves camping. So does his son. Not me.

As Vash mentioned, there is literally an ass for every seat. I was surprised at the interest...I could pay for the tent(s) almost immediately.

If wife and son agree (Jack is the hunter and would run the show when he moves back) the next step is a legal deep dive and discussions with the neighbors.

We also have the hunting rights off shore of the farm and marsh, which is key if they want to boat as well.

Fun, fun, fun...
