I see the pole winner in GTP failed post qualifying inspection and goes to the back of the field . Everyone else moves up one spot . The failure involved the rear wear blocks .

The only benefit I see from pole at the Rolex, besides bragging rights, is that you should be able to preserve tires by running in clean air and it should keep you away from carnage in the pack.

So we've got the very real possibility that the 2027 Le Mans 24 Hour will have no Porsches on the grid - not just in Hypercar but GT as well. I'm not sure that's ever happened in the history of the race. There is limited grid space at every race and WEC gives priority to manufacturers competing in both Hypercar and GT. With Hyundai joining this year and Ford and McLaren next year, Porsche will likely be shut out. Of course there is a remote chance of Porsche dusting off the 963s and competing next year, but probably not.

That would be a sad day 😞 . But racing is $$$ and right now Porsche doesn't have excess . If/when they become financially stronger they will be back .

Rexy has new drivers, Manthey is new to Daytona, Wright car is out. Its still early so maybe they are saving pace.

Return to racing is estimated to be around 9:00 this morning . They are hoping the fog will lift by then . This will become a sprint race .
