Watched the men's skating short program . Some very talented athletes . There's a kid on the US team nicknamed quadzilla :D , man can that guy launch into the air . I think his first name is Ilya . He is in first place after the short program .

Supposedly in the long program he will attempt seven quad jumps !!! Holy smokes I hope he can pull it off . Long program is on Friday . My wife and I really enjoyed today's events . Looking forward to bobsled and hockey . Go USA SmileWavy

Not a fan of the track ski jump setup. too sterile and perfect. it's kinda tough to tell one jump from another.

US Womens hockey is on fire. I hope they can maintain this level.

The announcers said repeatedly that no harm comes to the skiers knees as long as there isn't a preexisting injury . They said it's the number one question by viewers . I'm not sure I totally believe that as it looks quite brutal .

Unbelievable speed by Jordan Stolz , that is just flying on the ice !

The passing in those speed skating events is wild. It's like a NASCAR race! I'd love to see real time input pressures on the luge runs just to have some insight into the slider's thinking.

The downhill ski runs sound really icy to me. Is that the case?

US ice dancers Chock & Bates grab a silver medal . Great job . Go USA SmileWavy

I just watched the ice dancing.
I think they got robbed.
I could spot the flaws in the last skaters skate, and if I could see it without replay how could they not win with no flaws in their skate?

I have no clue how they score this event , I thought the US pair was flawless . Unfortunately it doesn't matter what I think 😕

The maneuvers those skaters accomplish are truly amazing.

Watched some of the half pipe snowboard - pretty cool. A few Americans still in it. The Big Tomato sighting! Is he coaching us?

Yes, they race on ice, the harder, the better. They inject water into the track to make it a sheet of ice and sprinkle on potash (KCl) to harden it up further.

The slalom track was warm and going last on a soft and rutted course is what killed Shiffrin’s time in the combined. She is not used to racing at the back of the pack.

Thanks Unc, I had no idea.

US women's cross country skier Jesse Diggins wins the bronze in 10km . With bruised ribs !!! What a performance , as the announcers said she emptied the tank . That is one tough chick . Congratulations 🎊 . Go USA SmileWavy
