Those old pics you have been posting are way cool, Byron. It sounds/looks like your Grandad and Dad were characters.

Yes they were, unfortunately, I didn't know my Grandfather very well, he lived in W Texas,us in FL, so a few weeks at a time was all I ever had, and he died while I was in my teens. Going through these old pix really make me realize what I missed loosing him at my young age. He traveled & did much more than I knew, kind of like that movie Old Lions, or what ever it was called. I can see that I am alot like him, there are a fair amount of pictures of ladies he dated before he met my Grandmother, colecting junk, the still, goees on. More than I ever knew until going through pictures, business cards & newspaper clippings. By scanning these can share with my sister & nephew.

Anyone know where these are stored?

As a matter of fact I work at a museum and I know the curator of the air and space building.

I emailed our air and space curator and he is interested in getting one donated for display if that is still possible.

I sent him (the curator) the link and emailed Robert.

Thank you everyone!

A-12 was the forerunner to the SR-71, used for training. Note the double canopy. They are very similar.

wasn't sure whether to put this in the chest thread or the bacon thread. this seems to be a good compromise.

I see a starship regularly flying over Ft. Lauderdale. You can tell by the sound of the engines its something different. It has made me look up several times. Pretty cool looking plane.

There are couple of "Piaggio Avanti's" based in my area. Great look and sound.
