I have a buddy who is convinced this sort of thing is caused by chemtrails and aliens.

I simply tell him its a cloud and light.

Here's the ranch house Mom grew up in, the McDonald Ranch formerly owned by the first governator of New Mexico who sold it to mom's uncle Haynes.
Grandma was the ranch cook, grandpa was a ranch hand who's job it was (among other things) to kill enough rabbits to make Sunday stew The old man was a heck of a shot with his single action 22lr.

I'm pretty sure this is my great uncle Claude who worked on the ranch with my grandparents.
That land was originally part of John Chisum's ranch (John Wayne, Billy the kid, Chisum hired Pat Garrett to be sheriff).

The missus and I moved from the suburbs into town on Sunday. We are near one of the very ritzy parts of Houston. I saw one of these when we went to dinner tonight. I think it's pretty darn cool. Kind of like a giant sized Ferrari version of the BMW clown shoe
