It wasn't me or my family, we didn't come to US until 1916. We were still starving in Italy. Similarly, I take no responsibility for slavery as well... I take no responsibility for what the dutch, spanish or brits did any more than I take responsibility for the chinese did to the japanese and vice-versa 300 years ago. There were a lot of crappy things that every race/ethnicity did to ever other race/ethnicity throughout history.

That said, if you want to read a great book about the US before Columbus came over, this is very interesting and data-based. There were VASTLY more natives in the US then previous reported.

Actually, that is a picture of the cast of the 1982 movie "The Thing" filmed in British Columbia and SE Alaska. I did some flying around some of the same locations while I was in Juneau.

One of the guys I used to work with was a pilot down in Antarctica - the company I used to fly with had the NSF contract at the time.

This one is a converted barn, so my guess is the part-time building inspector either just looked the other way, or was himself the contractor.

Throughout the years I've seen project after project published in magazines which obviously don't meet any code I'm familiar with. My only conclusion is that it pays to know the right people.
