Man ... that really makes me feel like a loser as I struggle to pay for my wedding that costs as much as that guy spends on a tuneup for those two fcars. My life sucks :(

maybe he (or she) should have diverted that money to a better house rather than that flimsy Mcmansion

So do something about it.

Study, work hard, keep a sense of humour, and stop whining!

You agreed to the wedding cost didnt you?

WHY?

Now that's funny. You should take your car in to have those things done.

We actually had a car come into our shop that "did" have the tires rotated by a tire and wheel shop. http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/chix.gif

I'm trying man, doing all I can over here. I'm an IT guy with 11 years of experience, and I still read 300+ pages a week in field related material, yet have found my income become stagnant or worse slide lower in the past 6 years. Thank you outsourcing; whoever started this trend, needs to be shot off the bayonet.

As for wedding costs, my fiance' and I have done everything we can to keep the costs down, hell, we both have immediate family that we can't afford to invite to our wedding, let alone most of our freinds.

I've come to realize that you can follow "the formula" (study hard, work hard, etc) and never reach the kind of financial status displayed in that garage. If life has taught you otherwise, fantastic, it hasn't been my experience though.

And I agree, I did come across a bit whinny. My bad - it's been a rough last couple of months financially.

Cheers,

Cheers,

Hey Brandon, just a suggestion, from my own wedding. It was my only wedding, Cindy's 2nd. We didn't have any bucks for a lavish spread, and she didn't want to stick her dad with another bill. I'm a guy who does all he can to avoid going to ceremonial things and didn't want to make a big deal of getting married anyway. We just went to Reno for a weekend. Paid $35, got married wearing jeans & sweatshirts. Had a great and fun weekend. Free drinks everywhere we went. 31 years later, we're still racking up anniversaries. I wonder how many of those lavish weddings find the couple still together after 31 years? Maybe half? Cindy's big regret? We have no pics of that day. I don't regret that...;)
