Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Foresthill Bridge is 730' and a beacon to base jumpers and adrenaline junkies. I am not afraid of heights but it does cause you to get that hand tingly thing thing when you stand in the middle of the span especially when the wind is howling. Its been used in several movies including the car launch scene in the action movie "XXX" A few even toss themselves over every year due to different personal reasons. Causes a lot of extra related issues for a lot of people and organizations. I drive past it every work day on HWY 49. The confluence gets insane with visitors, hikers, kayakers, equestrian persons and mountain bikers. Always good for numerous rescues. Although is is a beautiful location to visit, especially this time of year. This is what it looked like during our heavy rains.  No Hands Bridge
