I agree, the military provides us the lifestyle we live. Politics aside, who knows what would happen if folks would not be willing to give their lives to protect the world they know as home.

It is not my "cup of tea" so to speak, but a good friend of mine spent 12 months in Kabul and the surronding area. He was doing what he thought he needed to do. He had a recent wife and a new born child.... and he was willing to go off and protect the rest of us. Even though, as a father, I would have made different choice, I have incredilble respect for him.

To all of you that have family serving, I pray they come home to give the "welcome home" hugs.....

Cheers

Back in the early 1980's it was more like the military provided a lifestyle for the young and jobless. A chance to get out of town make some money (and buy a new car) and maybe enough glamor in it to snag a girl also looking for a way out of her parents house and a looking for a meal ticket. Hope, a future and some structure, things we all need at one time or another.

I'm not sure what has changed since then but I do appreciate those serving and those who have served. It's tragic that are serving over in a country that does not want us there and when we could use them here..............Politics Aside.

Our replastered pool, finally done. Now we are doing the acid startup process. Should be able to swim in about 10 days I think. It is smoke grey tinted plaster with embedded blue-green 3M Quartz crystals.

Our replastered pool (finally)!

What is a good definition/description of a "Dead man's Curve"?

Is there a drawing or diagram of this?

EDIT-2:
Found this................

Actually, there wasn't anything especially dangerous about this road, except that it's popular with sportbikes. Great road, in fact. Hwy 49 near Sierraville.

Ha! Same source...
