It was, and she is already a timid kitty.

My wife and daughter came home one day and said they saw this really cool car on the way to school this morning. It has "Daytona" on the side of it and it looked like a real race car. I'm thinking its a Dodge Daytona. The next day I take her to school. This is what I find.....

I had been seeing this car running around my area of town for a few years but never caught up with it. The other day I found it in the parking lot at the mall. It's a VW under all that cracked fiberglass. The top fits so bad you could throw a cat thru the openings in it. This could be the worst looking car I've ever seen. Somebody spent a lot of time on this thing....

I found these last week on the side of the road. Someone's collection is for sale...

They are a really funny looking kit car... looks like someone stepped on it right in the middle.

A coworker mentioned that his son blew the headgasket in his Civic. By coincidence, I was doing a headgasket in my friend's Civic the same weekend, so I invited my coworker to do his son's at the same time.

He'd done spark plugs and oil changes before, but nothing like that. In the end, he picked up a used low-mile engine and we swapped that in. Started Friday after work, had it out saturday after supper. He had a grand time, fun stuff for the "network dude" on our team... he still talks about it.

Byron, what engine is going in the 914/6?

Is that a Kellmark (sp?) GT? Or is it a Laser? I am not really up on my VW kit cars.

I am sure that it never competed in the 24 Hours!

My Saturday afternoon project. We had a DishMaster "Imperial" when I was a kid, and loved it.
