Some animals from Kenya:

Yes, she's taking a leak. Took the better part of five minutes - we have a movie. Yes, I am that juvenile.

Wandered around the yard today with the new camera and the old macro lens. This is a half life-size macro lens, so doesn't allow me to get that zoomed in, but I also don't have to have the camera very close to the subject (3' or 4' minimum focus distance, I think) which works well for skittish, mobile subjects. I'll probably eventually get a set of kenko extension tubes.

All of those were resized (down). Here's a 100% crop of another shot of the lizard's head without any resizing. (well, I think it was about 1100 pixels wide, so I guess Wayne resized down to 800)

And here's a similar crop of what I assume is a carpenter bee. Same deal, I think this crop is about 1050 pixels wide, now 800. I'm shocked that I got the focus nailed on this one since I could hardly see the thing inside the hole.

Very nice focusing there Steve, Pinpoint focal area and you nailed in your shots, who is that peaking out of the branch?

Don, quite the target rich environment there, Salvo park ? Can't believe the long horn on that first rhino. And the concentration of game in some of the shots. Well done.

Cheers Richard

Ok, in OP, they said the needed a red-light Red Light Cameras Are Unconstitutional on Park & Loring, as they don't have.enough police to be visible at intersections like this. But look at just down Loring, going into (or in the case of my picture, from the railroad tracks, coming out of the ABC Industrial Park) makes a lot of sense, a short road, with no houses or side streets for most of it, and.a rough R&R crossing towards the end. Yet, the OPPD doesn't have the man power to keep an eye on the busy roads, but can hide and lay traps on an road that doesn't have side streets or homes.

Google earth view..
