A couple from the Perseid meteor shower early this morning. Unfortunately, Most eluded the camera frame. The only two I did catch, also had a airplane passing through and no foreground....

A "chug"

Two more... These abandoned Cuban trash-boats were all over; on every beach and every shallow.

For more "chug" info, google "cuban chug boat" or look up the US "feet dry" policy.

I've had some lessons, but never followed through.
I was just a passenger on that particular Otter.

But not on this day:

It is the one aviation qual I wish I had pursued as well.

Looks like you had a great trip in a very fine aircraft.

Baz, I don't see any sprinklers or drip irrigation. Are seasonal rains and humidity in NSB enough to keep everything alive and growing?

Good eye, Craig....but I got it covered.

The pic I posted was just after planting - but before I installed drip irrigation for the entire length plus the other side of the lot. Here's a shot of the 2 valves which will serve this area. One for drip zone for the plants...the other for spray zone (15' half circles) for the right-of-way - that's what the white flags are for. I'll probably put the spray zone in on Friday. I also put in a hose bib since it's so far away from the building's hose bibs...and the other thing in the pic is the drip tubing stub out.

After we got the trees installed I had to hand water them as needed until I got all the irrigation in...and i made a point to stand under each tree's shade as much as possible...man it was cooking out!
