You should age those and leave them half buried under some mulch. Don't forget to throw in some rotting meat/fish/chicken to add to the effect. Nothing like the smell of decomp!

Bravo Baz!

You need to pick up a full size skeleton and strap it in the passenger seat. It looks really cool. A local bug guy had one in his dub, looks good.

I've been trying to get a pic but he is always in the freeway when I see him.

My old small mouth TR3 and my neighbors C 119...parked across the road from our place on a community air strip. His plane was used in the remake of the 'Flight of the Phoenix' a few years ago...he also has a B24 Liberator Bomber.
Some hobby.

Man that is awesome Reiver! I love old planes like that! Love to see a pic of the Liberator if possible. Your TR3 is also very beautiful! Wonder what shade of red that is....

I always wonder what the back story is when I see stuff like this...obvious a man's prized possessions...unceremoniously dumped like an old box of soiled cat litter... :(

I'll get you a better pic of the tool box....I really like the little drawers! Unfortunately rain had gotten into most of the bottom compartments so I removed everything and am drying and cleaning everything up.

Tool box looks like a Kennedy machinist box.

This is at our local fly in/ car show at our local airport...the B24 is a Naval version with single tail plane build/used in WW2...it survived as a Forest Service AC dousing fires with retardant until my neighbor bought it.....he's nuts but fun.

I got to see an old bird like that fly in for a vintage air show in Flagstaff not long ago.
Man those raidial engines are leakers, make our aircooled engines look tight.

Nice lineup in the shade for the car show.

Richard.....that's the same bird obviously...I am in Wickenburg south of you. Not sure where he keeps his toys now....the airstrip community across the way from us had him move his C 119 as it tore up the dirt strip whenever he used it.

Hey Billy.......turns out it's a "Waterloo" Machinist Tool Room Series 8 drawer tool chest.

And here is mine. I got her dried out and will work on cleaning her up on Saturday All the drawers work! Thing is pretty heavy so will have to find a place for her in my already packed garage.

Waterloo Industries is still in operation and are based in Sedalia, Missouri. :)

There's a vintage aircraft restoration business here (American Aero Services) and they also host events like that from time to time. Open house where you can see the projects they are working on plus they have a little museum. They always set up a donation table for the local animal shelter.


There's a name in some of the stuff, Rich and I will look into it. Suffice to say, it is fortunate I came along to try and maintain part of this man's "legacy". We have and have had machinists in our family so I always place value in tools and especially coming from a person's private "collection". ;)
