Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Hey Baz,
Was that your view of the S-X launch? Folks out here were wetting themselves because of the big scary lights in the night sky. The way the media circus lit up, you would have thought the world was ending. All it was, was a trajectory correction. ![]() It’s funny how many people never see the artwork a Vandenberg launch leaves in the early morning sky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One of the 1984 Mt. St. Helens eruptions
Digitizing a bunch of my old slides from years gone by, this one was from my bedroom window in Everett Washington. It woke me up... anything that can jolt a queen size waterbed from 150 miles away is worth paying attention to.

More from 84
My motorized collection... 100 HP 1967 bug with independent rear air shocks and healthy anti-sway bars and my 1982 90 hp CB900F.
Wish I still had the bike. My 72 911 handles and accelerates MUCH better than the old Bug. ![]()

That B-17 tail wheel pic is very cool, Chris - thanks!
I bought a new shovel today. Only $30 at my irrigation supplier (list is approx. $60). Will use it for irrigation repairs and maintenance. It's a Corona - and if you were not aware - they have come out with a very nice array of hand tools for outdoor projects.
