Yo Bill - I was all set to do the monofilament technique when I thought I'd do a quick Google search and see what others are suggesting.

I found a guy who was using a hot glue gun and gluing dry kibble to the trap trigger. I thought that would be easier than the monofilament so took my glue gun down to the garage and began looking at bait choices. I was going to use some dry cat food when I saw a few slim jims in my mini-fridge that I keep for snacks. I decided those would work as good or better than the kibble and when I looked at the trap trigger I noticed the little prongs each one has, so I ended up just snagging a piece of the slim jim onto each prong so there would be some serious tugging involved by any rat trying to forage. So I didn't use the glue gun. We'll see what happens. I'm only at level 2 right now....lol.

Spotted this guy on my way home from work. Didn't seem to mind me one bit.

Lowes Valspar2000 really did not want to open after a couple years.
Fast-drying and hard but 2-3 coat coverage.

A little water on top, tin foil basket almost touching the paint, and transferred it to a new can later.
The plastic cans don't seem to have this problem.

Half a dozen doves one day.

A dozen Cardinals another day.
Critters were hungry. Went through two big bags. Made a mess.

The black bellied whistling ducks are back and trying to establish who gets to use the nesting boxes I set up in the back yard.

Aren't you a little far north to be Hemmingway? Thank goodness you aren't an older single lady or we'd have to call you the crazy cat lady.

It's all good, I've had dogs and cats over the year. They are all great to have around.

Same thing happened to me, twice. All the eggs in the carton had 2 yokes. They were from Costco.

Thanks, Eric. Cool that Tubbs drove one!

The entire way (single lane <40mph) the guy never punched it, so I had no idea if it had anything under the hood that would impress me.

In Florida you get used to people driving "sports cars" and never actually "driving" them.

Random pic:

Pruned some Queen Palms this morning.....gotta remove the flower stalks before they mature. Otherwise they make a mess and then when fruits are formed they are not only messy - they are super heavy!
