Green Wood in Brooklyn. Amazing place. |
This little receiver I got through Amazon is amazing....I love it!
I wanted to set up an outdoor stereo system that I could use with my MP3 files. I keep them all on a hard drive in my PC and then have a dozen or so portable rechargeable MP3 players which I typically use with portable speakers or headphones. Well, I finally decided for my home to have something more permanent and easier to use. So I attached two outdoor speakers to the front of my house and am using this receiver to power everything. It's 110v which is not a problem because I have it sitting right outside my front door where there's an outside outlet. I already hooked up one of my MP3 players though the Aux jack in front which worked fine. But tonight I decided to use a flash drive through the USB port and it was much simpler. No cables...just stick the flash drive in...turn on the power...and Bob's your uncle! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1538699666.JPG Cost was only $76.10 plus tax (Prime so no shipping cost) so that's not bad at all. I haven't used all the bells and whistles yet, but will play with it more when time allows. I got the bluetooth but they also have a wifi model for a few dollars more. I don't use either so this one works for me. These are the speakers I got - also from Amazon - and they were under $100 and sound fantastic. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1538700084.JPG |

Saab 99 Turbo - 1978 project http://forums.pelicanparts.com/saab-technical-forum/1009541-saab-99-turbo-1978-project.html I saw it today, best looking car I've ever seen that's been stored outside for the past eight years in Michigan. I suspect that in 1978 they were still trying to get the galvanizing thickness right, and his car got a bit too much. Oh, and he used a bunch of POR-15 on in years and years ago - it's probably that. Still, there is rust, and rust is ugly and it is relentless. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1538781032.jpg The old Pirelli's didn't even look that dry rotted to me. Almost ready for the 24 Hours of LeMons.;) |
