Had to pull the nose strut (after painting) to re-seal it. Of course is only started to leak “after” it was painted. Now I get to enjoy re-painting it since the hydraulic fluid has ruined the new paint...

I guess it could be worse

Can you ditch the nose wheel and just put one on the tail?

If the STC wasn’t so bloody expensive, the Sparrow-hawk conversion would be sweet.
To be honest, I love the feel and challenge of the conventional gear setup. In the beginning, it was Citabrias, Decathlons, L-19, a splash of Steerman with a T6 chaser.

Not sensible doing it when it actually would be more financially sound to find one already done. Heck, if I’m dreaming.... how about a 150/150 STOL with long range tanks . The plan is to sell and trade up to something a little sportier..........and tandem!

Heck, better yet...

Giving my hand at polishing my spinner. Stripped all three layers of paint(surprising how much lighter it is).

Step 1: 320 wet/dry
Step 2: 400 “
Step 3: 600 “
Step 4: 800 “
Depending on the outcome
Step 5: 1000 “
Step 6: 1200 “
After that.....???

I’m on step 1.5

^^^Now that looks like a fun trip!^^^

Perfect weather here in the PNW for a kayak/Canoe trip on beautiful Lake Diablo.
My BIL has mentioned wanting to try Kayaking, he's much more likely to be found on top of the local peaks rather than in a boat.
He started out in my old trusty Coleman RAM-X 15, we soon realized we had to put an electric motor to so he could keep up with my Pygmy hot rod Yak.
Unfortunately my GoPro died before he tried the Kayak, he did amazingly well in it.

My BIL/Mountain dude- not yet Kayak convert.

We found a good spot to land without too many new scratches on my wooden Yak & had lunch and a beer for good measure, it was warm enough to be thankful for a stray cloud to block direct sunshine now and then!
