Some a-hole with his wife and stepson

Bamboo lined path

Some graffiti

The food in the tiny regional airport was awesome...

Weather lifted and humidity cleared the day we left

I've been to China 8 times.. and am amazed by what I see every day I'm there'
Tim, we took an aerial tram to the top and then hiked for several hours along some trails along the cliffs up to the lodge at the top. That is where I took that photo. Our guide said we very lucky to have clear sky.

This photo is the Museum of the First National Congress in Shanghi. Glenn

We took the tram also, but there are a few lodges that you can stay at.. My wife told me the party "Elite" built retreats for themselves and connected friends..

Fresh peppercorn salad is the best way I can describe this

I guess you can call this a potato dumpling? it was stuffed with the fresh peppercorns

The grilled fish was effing awesome... nice spice rub on it, and they grabbed it out of the pen behind the restaurant

The kitchen, and the supervisor checking things out

Nice photos!

The only time I was at the Great wall was 2008, wandered past some of the signs indicating I should stop, problem was that's where it got interesting...

Only a little bit of the wall broke off, none of the blocks were numbered so it was tough to figure out where it went back in...

Overgrown wall

The Triumph project continues, my Son and I had her all together with a 750 cc (ran when removed) motor.
It seized with only about 1/2 an hour of running... yes, it had oil in it.

Rather than a complete rebuild (at this time) I found a 650 cc motor with a fresh rebuild for a price I couldn't say no to.
Hope we get more than 30 minutes out of this one!

This one was born in 1966 according to the serial #

My daughter studied in China compliments of the US Navy and Uncle Sam. I really enjoyed visiting with her there over Thanksgiving 2015 - except I really prefer turkey rather than duck:

I spent a fair amount of time reminding myself what a burden I'd be and what a bummer it would make of the trip if I slipped on the ice covered wall and broke a leg...

Our first full day in Beijing we went to the Wall. While it was crisp and clear out, the air quality (per the US Embassy) index was 150 - anything over 100 is unhealthy.

This was from our second day - the index read 300. You had trouble seeing the top of a ten story apartment building. By the time we left it had hit 500, and the day after it hit nearly 600. Very sad truth about that part of the world...

Since we were not Chinese citizens we were permitted to attend Mass at a Roman Catholic church on Sunday.

At 6', standing a head above the average tourist heading into the Forbidden City

This happened to us - a lot! Random Chinese would constantly ask my daughter to take her picture with them and or their child. They also asked my wife, and even me a couple of times.

Out at a bar at 11pm Friday night. In rolls a "couple"* with a baby in a stroller. DJ blasting music at 11.

Look on Mrs5543's face is priceless.

* couple consisted of 2 doods one chick, she took turns making out with each of them. Not that there is anything wrong with that. It was very bizarre.

Parents of the Year candidates there!

Out bass fishing at O'dark thirty this morning. Bass are always fighters, but these Florida Largemouth are on steroids or something. Dang. Nice to have a bass boat that cruises at 60MPH too ...
