Had to pull the nose strut (after painting) to re-seal it. Of course is only started to leak “after” it was painted. Now I get to enjoy re-painting it since the hydraulic fluid has ruined the new paint...[emoji849][emoji35]

If the STC wasn’t so bloody expensive, the Sparrow-hawk conversion would be sweet.
To be honest, I love the feel and challenge of the conventional gear setup. In the beginning, it was Citabrias, Decathlons, L-19, a splash of Steerman with a T6 chaser.


Not sensible doing it when it actually would be more financially sound to find one already done. Heck, if I’m dreaming.... how about a 150/150 STOL with long range tanks [emoji1]. The plan is to sell and trade up to something a little sportier..........and tandem!

Giving my hand at polishing my spinner. Stripped all three layers of paint(surprising how much lighter it is).

Step 1: 320 wet/dry
Step 2: 400 “
Step 3: 600 “
Step 4: 800 “
Depending on the outcome
Step 5: 1000 “
Step 6: 1200 “
After that.....???
