After two weeks with an electric and hand sander I was able to piece together my beat to crap front fiberglass bumper. The temps in the low 30s didn’t help but my experience on the front made the rear go faster. Rotating the bumpers using my bicycle stand helped a lot. Cure time went from 1-2 hours at 70f to overnight in most cases due to the cold temps and no heat in the garage.
I went with a rough coat bed liner black instead of body color. I like the contrast. Easy touch up from alphabeta rash in supermarket lots. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1611790674.jpg |

How did the Prelude project turn out? Any pics? (or did I miss them?) |

Cool cookie jar!!
"How did the Prelude project turn out? Any pics? (or did I miss them?)" The Prelude did start and run back in mid June, the second start to test clutch and brakes revealed a fuel leak on one of the new injectors. We towed it to my Sister and BIL's place, disconnected the battery, covered it and there it sits. Right at that time several other priorities took over, my Brother ended up in and out of the hospital, twice. You know how they tell you NOT to smoke while using oxygen and a cannula? There's very good reasons for that. We got him moved into a nice brand new ADA compliant apartment where he settled in for several weeks and then he passed away. I've not had the heart or drive to go tackle the injector seals or anything else on it. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1612324990.JPG I have recently found the motivation to put some more time into his 83' Interceptor, great news there- after full carb cleaning and tuning she is running well. Still bittersweet... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1612324990.jpg Gas money tucked away http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1612325226.JPG Long time no start. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1612325226.JPG |
