You don't see really clean 914s all that often. Really sharp looking cars, no matter how strange the design might be.

The only thing I don't like about the look of the 914 is the raised turn signal. Shave that down, and you have a great looking car IMO.

Yep, someone swapped our weather patterns. I want mine back!! This snow has cost me a tree in my back yard already, but it was slated for removal anyways. '-)

One of many spectacular sunsets on our Caribbean cruise a couple weeks ago -- this was at sea near Grand Cayman

B-17?

I had to take two new drivers up to Akron this week for orientation and training. Woke up Monday to 17 degrees with a wind chill putting us at 6 degrees. Then woke up on Tuesday to about 1.5" of lake-effect snow in Akron. After having driven up from South Carolina, where we're still deciding if we should unpack the winter coats.

At least we weren't as bad off as the O/O who drove up from Florida... and had a wardrobe that consisted of short pants, and more short pants.
:D

Wearing shorts right now and took a drive this evening in the Taga with the top off and windows down in shorts and a t-shirt. What hurricanes? :D

I am in North Carolina in 8 days and cannot wait, you can still run the A/C in you car today I was sweating in the Targa at lunchtime.

A picture I took 2 weeks ago. Notice the Hurricane victim in the background.

80 during the day here today, it'll be 40 tonight. We've had a week of this. Who needs a top on their car.

BTW - around these parts shorts are king!

Would that be in Clearwater now?

Jims5543 12-07-2006 03:28 PM

Nope, Grant, Florida about 20 minutes South of Melbourne along US1.

I always found it funny that its a total redneck town named after a Northern General.

shoot man, you ain't lived 'till you been to the Grant Seafood Festival!!!

Jims5543 12-07-2006 03:57 PM

LOL!! Holy Crap!! You have been the the Grant Seafood Festival?

I used to Work for Couch Pump Company back in the mod 80's as a drafter fresh from New Yawk. I was not recieved well by the good 'ol Boys there. It took a long time for them to warm up to me.

Have you ever heard the stories about all the cocaine being trafficked in through there?

That place was th ewild Wes tin the 80's and no one knew.

skipdup 12-07-2006 04:26 PM

Indeed! Many, many times. I lived right there on Valkaria road during the 80's. Just a quick run down the ole Dixie Hwy... :D

The valkaria airport was always rumored to be used. And, I always heard about jet ski's from the beach to off-shore boats to pick up "packages". They were wild times in that area.

I was actually born and raised in the Melbourne/Palm Bay/Malabar/Valkaria area. As the area grew, we kept moving further out. Dad's still there.

I used to LOVE that long sweeper on Valkaria road. :) Lucky I didn't kill myself.
