This video clip is from the same game...Gibson's homer off Gossage. Listen to Sparky!
It landed about 15 rows in front of us.

Sparky lived in Thousand Oaks and I played a number of games when he was there.

BTW, Norm Cash was a favorite baseball player of mine growing up...the 1968 World Series was probably the first real interest I had in professional sports.

Norm!

I followed every game of that series. Even though some were weekday afternoon games.
I'll never forget watching (on the b&w tv) Freehan settle in to catch a pop-up for the final out of the series. And who could forget Lolich winning three games!! Has that ever been done by another pitcher??
Bob Gibson was supposed to handily beat the Tigers....nope.

I don't have any pics, but when I lived in Japan many businesses did the same. You'd drive by in the morning and see groups of 10, 20 or 30 business men out in the parking lot lined up doing exercises, even in the winter when there was snow and ice on the ground.
Yes I've seen that in China as well...

I had an Apartment in Chaoyang, Beijing... and would go for walks or runs in the morning.. and pass by many stores (usually larger department stores) and the staff would be out doing Tai Chi.. stretching ... some sort of Exercise... and there was always a Leader...who changed regularly...

Also seeing all the seniors going Tai Chi in the courtyard of my building was amazing..

And the old guys with Chinese yo-yos....the sound is haunting

This cracked me up big time... Chinatown... in China...

The ex..

T25 - amazing how much sharpness gets lost with lower resolution photos, but still love shooting night racing...

A little art from an ancestor, also a grad from some famous art school in Chicago. She was a nice grandmother but did not publish much...

For context - and inspiring the unanswered "gramma, what were the drugs like in 1966?" She died in '17 at 97yo, and was very lighthearted and artistic to the end - this one's weird however. A fun family souvenir... (editing to add - woah, I'm like her age then/now)
