One of the first beaches we went to regularly when Pops drove us out here in a brand new '68 Pontiac Catalina was Picnic Point.

I've moved more and more Northward over the years and have not been back in decades (crazy how time flies).

Dropped in last Sunday... lots of memories there. Lots and lots and lots of development of course.
I remember dad tossing a 12' long 2X12 on top of the Pontilimo hauling it, us and a couple buckets to the parking lot there when blackberries were ripe.
He would stand the plank on end and drop it into the 15' high wall of vines, off my sister and I would go walking up the plank, picking berries and trying NOT to fall in.

It didn't seem like child labor/endangerment at the time, we were kid#6 and kid#7, so dad had plenty of extras...

Old boat graveyard about a mile North, low tide reveals several wreck remains after salvage and burning dating back to the 1950s, that practice is over. Duh.

This one did not get burned for fear of setting the hillside on fire.

Here's what it looked like in 1972

Took a drive to check snow levels and conditions at Baker Lake yesterday, had to road pretty much to myself, just the way I like it!

Mt Baker is loaded with snow and getting more today.
Roads are clear with nice snow plow piles giving a cool, ok, cold tunnel effect in places. Lots of trees down and cleared by the road crews.

Is your friend a cordwainer (just learned that). Does your friend make boots or shoes?
