The beatings will continue until that plant cheers up....

Our Amaryllis haven't even started to grow this year. I think there might have been a freeze earlier that got 'em.

Another beautiful day in the Lowcountry…off to a reef about 10 miles out for some fishing (sheepshead).

One of the first beaches we went to regularly when Pops drove us out here in a brand new '68 Pontiac Catalina was Picnic Point.
I've moved more and more Northward over the years and have not been back in decades (crazy how time flies). Dropped in last Sunday... lots of memories there. Lots and lots and lots of development of course. I remember dad tossing a 12' long 2X12 on top of the Pontilimo hauling it, us and a couple buckets to the parking lot there when blackberries were ripe. He would stand the plank on end and drop it into the 15' high wall of vines, off my sister and I would go walking up the plank, picking berries and trying NOT to fall in. It didn't seem like child labor/endangerment at the time, we were kid#6 and kid#7, so dad had plenty of extras... Duh. This one did not get burned for fear of setting the hillside on fire. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645074646.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645074646.jpg Here's what it looked like in 1972 Me, Sister and Pops http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645075112.jpg Pops and Moms with a blonde apparition on deck http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645075112.jpg |
Took a drive to check snow levels and conditions at Baker Lake yesterday, had to road pretty much to myself, just the way I like it!
Mt Baker is loaded with snow and getting more today. Roads are clear with nice snow plow piles giving a cool, ok, cold tunnel effect in places. Lots of trees down and cleared by the road crews. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645287824.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645287824.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645287824.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645287824.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645287824.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1645287824.jpg |
