Some minor excitement this afternoon.
The fire department has been here to look at it. They can't do anything right now.
Waiting on Xcel Energy to cut the power.

Not my tree, it belongs to the neighbor behind me. I called Xcel over 2 years ago, they said crews were working in our area and they would get to it. They were in my neighbor's yard to the north, but never came to my or my neighbor behind me's yard. We weren't about to cut it ourselves, it was already grown through the power line. The line that's on fire is not the one that runs between our houses, it's the one from the transformer to his house.

The bear problem here got real a few nights ago. Mama and 2 cubs strolling thru the yard and my Schnauzer bolted out of the house into the lanai. 250lb mama bear immediately charged him (the cubs went up the tree) and they went at each other separated only by the screen. I ran out and grabbed him by the collar and got him back in the house. The bear went around the tree and stood up and stared me down. I clapped my hands loudly at her and she and the cubs took off. My dog wasn't hurt and went in and fell asleep on the couch. He fears no bear. Thunder? That's another matter
