Just typical Thai transportation. I suppose you would call them water buses instead of taxis. Great way to see Bangkok.

I saw a new Alpina the other day. I was surprised since I didn't know that they were still made. I've probably only seen 5-10 over the years, and probably most likely on the lower end of that number. Or maybe I see more, but since they are relatively understated, I don't notice. We got our third day of rain for the month today, ~7/8"! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667014646.jpg and then we had a beautiful sunset. The pics don't really do it justice. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667014646.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667014646.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667014646.JPG |

Very nice SS!
Frasier River from Hell's Gate suspension in 2008. Amazed at how much this style of raft flexes it's way through the waves http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667494504.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667494504.jpg Spare motor included http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667494504.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667494504.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667494504.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667494504.jpg |

We made a total of three trips, during three different years, with the raft back in the early 70s. Then some outfitter made us an offer we couldn't refuse so we sold the raft. We figured we had got our money's worth out of it.
This shows the inside of the frame and the small outboard for calm spots. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667498878.jpg Making some repairs to the frame after the fist year we ran the river. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667498878.jpg The raft and all our gear at the point where we would start our four day float. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667498878.jpg Looking down at Salmon Falls. We always stopped to scout out the major rapids. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667498878.jpg |
