Just typical Thai transportation. I suppose you would call them water buses instead of taxis. Great way to see Bangkok.

Amazon river Brazil is similar. The boat buses are usually quite a bit larger.
Yes, the bus-boats do often/usually have hammocks.

Ancient petroglyph in Chilean desert. Several hillsides were covered with them.

Very cool! Did someone spill brake fluid on the hood or is it just dirty.

I saw a new Alpina the other day. I was surprised since I didn't know that they were still made. I've probably only seen 5-10 over the years, and probably most likely on the lower end of that number. Or maybe I see more, but since they are relatively understated, I don't notice.

We got our third day of rain for the month today, ~7/8"!
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1667014646.jpg

and then we had a beautiful sunset. The pics don't really do it justice.

They were roommates for two years in NYC. Her friends mother is Indian and the father is American, retired Army 0-6....great family. Arden is in Delhi, north, for a few days then they all move to the wedding venue even farther north.

Great experience.

I was assuming there had to be family there. Absolutely, great experience!

Four Army Surplus bridge pontoons strapped together. Some friends and I built a sweep boat for rafting the Salmon River in Idaho out of two of them. It had a welded up ridged frame between the two pontoons with a plywood floor at the bottom and did not flex much. The plywood boxes kept our gear sort of dry. I was let off and walked down river to take this shot going through some white water.

We made a total of three trips, during three different years, with the raft back in the early 70s. Then some outfitter made us an offer we couldn't refuse so we sold the raft. We figured we had got our money's worth out of it.
This shows the inside of the frame and the small outboard for calm spots.

Making some repairs to the frame after the fist year we ran the river.

The raft and all our gear at the point where we would start our four day float.

Looking down at Salmon Falls. We always stopped to scout out the major rapids.
