Little t storm blew through tonight. Didn't have time to get somewhere neat for some good pics but managed to catch a bolt over the truck.

After the first branch smashed the car window I moved it into the street.
The redux about an hour later:

Yeah, the snow was quite sticky.

I showed this to a bartender friend and she liked it so much she asked me to print one for her. I made it a 13x19 semi-gloss print and it came out pretty good. I showed the print to my son and his wife and now they want one too.

A regular visitor to the bird feeder outside the window of my MIL's room at the care home. The infamous long legged seed gobbler.

Best

I'm betting your MIL loves it.

Most of our nearly 6 acres is covered in herbertia (Prairie Nymph).

We also have bluebonnets, indian paintbrush, Mexican hat, pink evening primrose, Texas dandelion, and a slew of other stuff.

Depot Bay Or. 2017

Very somber, saw the end of a Coast Guard recovery mission while at dinner overlooking the tiny bay inlet. Two long time buddies and fishing partners had gone out crabbing. CG surmised they were both on one side pulling a pot when a rogue wave capsized them. Neither wearing life jackets, both perished in the cold cold Pacific. Put a damper on the rest of that trip

I went to the Caterpillar dealer but only had enough money for this.

They said it was a D9 but I'm not sure.

While up at the Armadillo Ranch last week, I closed off all the holes in the pole barn where the rats were getting in and the tractors are kept. These Eastern Woodrats are a native species that are driving me nuts. They chew up anything and everything including tractor wiring, fuel lines, air compressor hoses, welder cables, Romex building wiring, you name it. My nephew's nine year old daughter was concerned that they would all starve to death trapped inside the barn so I set live traps. She conned my son into driving her and the traps a few miles down the road to release them. I did not tell her that one must have had some nursing pups that were left to starve.

Lots of great pics. Love, love, love that first one. The last one is pretty great too. I think that one seal is into autoX or DE, he seems to have track numbers (but not in blue tape).

I stopped on the side of the road "2 doors down" to take a pic of these. I hadn't seen any others around and wanted to find out what they were. Prairie Penstemon. I'll be going back to dig some up soon.

We got 5" of rain the other day, and the mail lady got her van stuck.

After a guy with a pickup pulled the van out a couple of hours later. Not bad.
