Boat ride up the mighty Snohomish River and a couple sloughs with some buddies October 1984- these were taken on slide film, scanned and cleaned up a bit via Photoshop

I've used an old crate as a workbench for far too long- set it up 20 plus years ago and made do.

As it was in 2018

I looked at a few different workbench plans and decided a 3' deep X 8' long version would be best for the space and intended uses- I just got a dovetail jig from Rockler, cut a few test pieces and I'm about to start building drawers for circular saws, jigsaws, drill motors and the like.
Also just finished cladding the concrete subwall with 30 year old cedar fence boards

That is a great picture.

It reminded me of an old Rodney Dangerfield joke.

Go to 9:10 in the clip below Submitted with love!

Wandered up and into my mountain playground last Friday to assess snow loads and levels-
North Cascades highway gets closed every winter until about April at mile post 134- Ross dam trail is just a 100 or so yards from the gate.

Much much less than normal snow pack this time of year, felt like spring was kicking in- temps above freezing and just a slight dusting of snow at 2400' elevation.
Even the 6-9K peaks are looking light on snow.

Winds up at 6K and above were ripping, found a nice spot in the sun to have lunch and drink in the area.
Mountain air up there is soooo clean and tasty once the fall rain puts out the wild fires

Normally 9K + Jack mountain would be buried in snow almost down to the 1600' lake level-

I’m building a house in s neighborhood that’s transitioning. The house to our left/behind us reminds me of Sanford and Son, but after seeing what’s going on over there, it makes me sad.

Obviously, there’s a ton of junk all over the yard, front, back and sides. This morning, I saw a woman walk out of the raised mobile home in a robe and go into the shed. I think she lives there.

Then this afternoon, I saw a guy pull up in a pick up truck and walk to the backyard and get in a broken down Tahoe. I think he’s living in it. Last week, I heard a couple at the Tahoe arguing.

I’ve seen three or four adults, three children, four dogs, and a donkey there.

Edit. I hope this picture is clear and not too big. Let me know.

The picture is clear. What’s unclear is why someone would choose to build a house by that mess??
