I took THIS picture and got absolutely reamed by the jack@ss museum guy.

Kid saunters up.."You know, Budweiser wouldn't be too happy with you taking that picture.." In the most obnoxious, self-righeous, confontational tone imaginable.

It was at eye level, car up on a stand.

It got slightly ugly, he escalated it and I lost it. Looks like you got the ol' Skunkeye too?

I understand the secrets of aero tricks etc, but give me a Goddamn break.

GREAT pictures.
From what I understand & have seen, NASCAR allows no fans in the garage area.
One great thing about the 24 hr Daytona race........go anywhere!

Its true. You you need to be a team member, owner, blood relative...etc. to get in or know someone who is. I have been lucky enough to get in at Infinion Raceway twice, and The Monster Mile in Dover Delaware once. I've also gotten some pretty cool passes for Cart at Laguna Seca and the Taylor Woodrow San Jose Grand Prix. Once you get tickets and passes like that it is hard to go to any race as a regular spectator. Even with the passes there are some restrictions. I asked while at the races "what those restrictions were?" What I was told was "Go where ever you like. Act like you know what you are doing. If we see you going anywhere you don't belong, we'll let you know" Man did we push the limits. :D

I don't know about that... although when I told him that my 20 year old Porsche and his brand new Z put up almost identical numbers in every accelleration category, he went and installed a nitrous kit...

Maxnine...that is one awesome photo! I was just looking at an issue of Christophorus which they had at my gym yesterday...and this photo would be perfect for that magazine. You have a real talent for capturing this type of shot.

did "king Kelly" ever get over losing the sprint to Lemond in the worlds? how's he doing since the PDM drug scandal?
