This was taken with a 5MP Leica. Leica glass is so hard to beat.

That Leica stuff is pretty dear. They have a model called q3 that is like $7k. insanely detailed images from it but I could not imagine that much dough on what works out to be a travel camera.

Our Son came up from SoCal for Thanksgiving, we even got some decent weather for a trip up into the hills.
Winter is creeping down the mountain sides

Took these pictures about 1977, when I was in high school. We had a little fender bender with my friend in front of us, who missed the turn, and stood on the brakes. Alcohol might’ve been an issue. The parental units were not happy. We ended up getting the whole car repainted. That 1974 VW went through hell and back.

It still amazes me where you can go by just putting one foot in front of the other, and still thankful my older Brother got me out hiking beginning when I was 13.

One of the greatest gifts I have received is the self confidence and deep love of the great outdoors one can only fully understand through experience.
It's now a 50+ year old happy habit that drives me to either just get out in my neighborhood and walk or best yet- load up a backpack for a couple day solo adventure.
