If a mast is also needed, the stick and standing rigging along with the glass repairs would make this a lot of money for a little boat (that is not the best sailing one).
Just needs FG repairs on the starboard side of the hull, no damage to the bulkhead. Quotes so far are ~$1200 Canuck bucks.

The owner was out of town when a fall storm hit, the boat was tied to a dock. Dock came loose, boat was between the dock & shore for 8 hrs.

Great deal... fully rigged, 2 yr old sails and impeccably maintained. I looked at it for a friend ,and told him he had 24hrs to make up his mind or I would buy it for the trailer (galvanized), sails and outboard.

He bought it, and will probably have $2500 in it by the time it's in the water. Jeremy is correct, the MacGregor 22s aren't the best sailing boats, but they draw ~14"! Shallow draft is big plus for a starter boat that will be used on the river system here, and he can launch it in his own yard.

I love trailerable boats. It allows you to be casual about boat ownership... no scheduled haulouts & launch, docking fees or storage.

Here's a pic of my chrysler 22 from a previous owner:

Hi Steve PH,

We lived in die Schweiz for three years and went skiing at Zermatt all the time (as well as Davos, St, Moritz, Andermatt, Courvais, Verbier, etc. etc..

Loved every minute of it, and will probably retire in Switzerland.

We miss it too......

Is this guy a dead ringer for Chiang Kai-Shek or what? That's me with him in Xi'an.

Next week Washington, D.C., eastern Tennessee and Key West, Fl. for National Treasue 2, In March, Czech Republic, Solovinia and Poland for Prince Caspian ( the sequel to the Chronicles of Narnia), London and Paris for NT2 and Prague again. Then Beijing for another feature. Two weeks ago I was in New Zealand again for Prince Caspian. No, I don't get a personal gopher, sorry.

It may sound exotic and exciting, but its a lot of sitting in airiports and on airplanes which can get very old. Plus you get screwed on your own time. I'd have had an engine I'm rebuilding done a month ago if it were not for the travel. As it is, I need a few hours to get it (hopefully) running, and that won't happen for another few weeks.

With all due respect? Waaaahhhh!;) :D

I'm a construction managment type on the Metro Goldline Eastside Extension project. I'm stuck out here in East L.A. managing heavy civil construction and I'd trade one of my um....er..."set" for your job. I've done the heavy travel thing earlier in my career and I know it gets old fast. But I found ways of coping and with 20-20 hindsight, I wish I still had a job that let me do what it appears your job does.

Just out of curiosity...what/where'd you start to end up as a site scout like that? I'm NOT trying to get into "the business". I just wonder how that kind of job happens?

I was only out there for seven days, thought Zermatt was a fab place for skiing, a good variety of pistes, tried to explore most of them and tried a couple of runs down into Cervinia, felt pretty good crossing the border into Italy on a pair of skis!

I have now got to try and organise next years, this will be no mean feat as it will involve finding a chalet or something similar for 18-20 people and it needs to be some where that caters for beginers through to off piste nutters!

Any suggestions welcome. :D

You need to take his head skin to a tailer to get it taken in a bit. Looks like it's a size to big or so.
