Great shots...I've always wanted to get up there.

Hugh, Those are great shots! National Treasure 2? If so, I can't wait. I loved the first one.
gostraight, Cool dog. Love the photo shop of your girl riding him. LOL too funny.
fumanchu and rouxroux, Also cool dogs. I've had two Weimaraners. More like Wizenheimers. I miss them both terribly. The first one (Jabberwockie) 11 years. The second one (Jasmine) 9 years. I lost them both to cancer. I would love to have another but they seem to be prone to the cancer problems. Losing them ripped a piece of me away. We decided to go with a "Pound puppy" the next time and we did. Snap, pictured above is a 1/2 and 1/2 of boxer and pitbull. Her nick name is "meat loaf."

You know, we watched "North by Northwest" and its totally faked! (Imagine that from Hollywood!) In the movie, they show them running across a flat field and coming to the top of Mt. Rushmore, nothing could be further from the truth. The movie also shows them crawling around the President's faces, not a chance. Here is what the trail looks like, albeit on the way down, but you get the idea.

hugh, do you need a gopher or a cook or an apprentice, or anything?

Hugh R 02-06-2007 08:03 PM

I have a pretty heavy travel schedule this year. Next week Washington, D.C., eastern Tennessee and Key West, Fl. for National Treasue 2, In March, Czech Republic, Solovinia and Poland for Prince Caspian ( the sequel to the Chronicles of Narnia), London and Paris for NT2 and Prague again. Then Beijing for another feature. Two weeks ago I was in New Zealand again for Prince Caspian. No, I don't get a personal gopher, sorry.

It may sound exotic and exciting, but its a lot of sitting in airiports and on airplanes which can get very old. Plus you get screwed on your own time. I'd have had an engine I'm rebuilding done a month ago if it were not for the travel. As it is, I need a few hours to get it (hopefully) running, and that won't happen for another few weeks.

This September, he and his brother finally got the pets they have been pining for - guinea pigs. However they are not living up to their feeding & cleaning commitments so I may have to show them this picture of a Peruvian delicacy:
