There was an excellent little film called Owning Mahowney (sp?) from a few years ago. The flick was based on a true story about some banker that embezzled millions to gamble at Vegas and Atlantic City. The lead was exceptionally well done by Phillip Hoffman - another one of those under-valued actors. Great story, good movie, excellent acting.

Ya, good choice...starkly reveals Democrats for the hypocrites they are...The richest man in the Senate at 1,000,000,000 bucks, then John Edwards following closely with big-frivilous-law in his back pocket. |

Is anyone so out of touch to think that there will ever be a candidate on the presidential ticket who isn't in the top 5% of the US economic class? Have we forgotten about the pile of cash our current 2 good 'ole boys sit on? If the dem's are hypocrites, then what does that say about a republican who is picking on their wealth when our president is an oil mogul and our VP isn't exactly starving to death either. This has to be the most rediculous left/right bashing I've ever seen.
I've watched a few of these threads and it's extraordinary how both sides seem to think their party is absolutely without fault. Follow this for a minute- the candidates are people, people are inherently flawed = our candidates will have flaws. Was that so difficult? Guess what- the dem's are hypocrites and so are the republicans, in fact, I've never met anyone in my life who hasn't been hypocritical at some point. Good grief. Argue issues/policies all you want, but making light of character flaws that are inherent human attributes is pretty pointless don't you think? -nick

I can relax now.
I thought Kerry-Dean would be a great ticket opposite Bush-Cheney. Kerry said he was 'exploring' that option. Dean now campaigns FOR Bush-Cheney. I thought Kerry-McCain would be a great ticket against Bush-Cheney. Kerry said he was 'exploring' that option. McCain now campaigns FOR Bush-Cheney. The Kerry campaign this morning actually described Edwards as 'Clintonesque'. I am still trying to figure out what that means. I spend several months a year in Raleigh, and have never heard of anyone there that likes Edwards. I know there is someone there that likes him, after all, they did elect him to the Senate. Once.

You know kach, as weird as that sounds, I am pretty certain I saw that somewhere. I was offshore for the last few days (no newspapers) so I suspect I heard or saw it somewhere.
I'll look for a reference when I have time this evening.

Mull the witless---
Why are you so ****ed up about Kerry marrying well? What's wrong--can't get a date? If you would give Mr. Right Hand a rest, you too might meet a financial catch--of course you will have to keep your ****ing mouth shut during the courtship. Edwards--Even if the plantiff only receives 50% they still get financial relief awarded by a JURY. Doctors don't get destroyed unless they are witless like you and make stupid mistakes like cutting off a man's penis by mistake or leaving their wrenches inside some poor slob's stomach. Once again, stupid language to make your stupid point. |

OK, I have not found anything about Howard Dean supporting GWB.
Must have been those foreign beers on the sailboat race over the weekend. I was sure I had heard that, even discussed it with others on the boat. Oh well. I sure wish Techweenie was around. He has sources and methods that are waaaay beyond mine.

Deans website states specifically that he supports Kerry/Edwards.

THAT is VERY likely.
Or the fact that I turned 51 today. Yes, the same birthday as Nancy Reagan and ........ someone else... I can never remember. OH! Kathy Lee Gifford! I know, I know, it's all a commie plot.

Actually I heard Dean was supporting Bush as well yesterday. May have to try and find the source of it as well. Thought it sounded funny at the time.
