ROFL, your life sucks. I narrowly escaped the COBOL world in 1995. And left IBM products in my wake about then as well.

....Back to C++ for me.

My life doesn't suck -- I may still do Mainframe MVS related storage management, but I also manage my company's open systems SAN, which include AIX, Windows, VMWARE, Oracle hosts, as well as an Apple XSAN offshoot.

I think I'm pretty much covered....

Oh, and there's nothing wrong with the mainframe -- it is alive and kicking today, thankyouverymuch!

Bringing this back cause I finally got around to watching the series. Amazingly good.

Yes please... with Boomer a close second.

Very good series. There hasn't been anything like it since.

Dollhouse was good, but short-lived.
Caprica was disappointing.
Agents of Shield has been good, but doesn't explore the human condition like BSG did.

I really liked how they covered mythology, religion and science. Very well written.

I always liked Dualla.

First and second seasons of BSG were great. The last two seemed to be one season stretched out. Kind of seemed like they wanted a five year story arc but were told to wrap it up in four. 33 and Daybreak were two of the best episodes of the series.

Like others have said here at the time, the Caprica series had some potential but that never really materialized.

If you get a chance, watch Razor, Blood and Chrome and the B&C webisodes found either on the Razor DVD or the Blood and Chrome DVD (I can't remember.) The Plan wasn't as good.

As far as new Sci-fi shows go, I kind of like Continuum (also on Netflix.) A lot of the Continuum cast were also on Caprica.

Try "Sherlock". The BBC version if you want a really well written, well acted show with some very good storylines and excellent character development.

Not Sci Fi, but it's filled a craving for quality entertainment.
